MATERIALS AVAILABLE IN SELECTIVE LASER SINTERING OR SLS

Polyamide - PA 12

Polyamide is a solid Nylon powder that offers good mechanical properties at a competitive price.

Characteristics: The plastic material Polyamide PA12 is opaque, rigid and has beautiful finishing, it can be use in a wide range of applications from consumer products, automotive, medicine to the aeronautical industry.

This material offers very interesting features for the realization of final parts or functional prototypes. It is perfectly suited to the manufacture of parts requiring complex, precise shapes and good resistance to handling and temperature. It is also suitable for performing physical and functional tests.

The PA 12, a plastic with exceptional characteristics, offers great mechanical and thermal resistance: its performance is high and close to the final product.

Examples of fields of application:

- Turbines, connectors, consumer sports articles, dashboards.

- Pressure-locking designs, functional prototypes close to properties.

- Fast manufacturing for small to medium series.

- Medical applications.

- Complex production plastics and prototypes for functional tests of form or assembly.

PA GF - PA + Fiberglass

This material is a polyamide loaded with fibreglass. It enjoys the same advantages as conventional polyamide but offers better thermal resistance.

Characteristics:
High stiffness and tensile strength, withstands high temperature 110°C.
Has anisotropic mechanical properties (same as fibre injected materials).
Examples of areas of application:
- Functional prototypes and end-use parts requiring high rigidity and/or resistance at high temperature.

CarbonMide - PA12 + Carbone Fiber

A 3D printed polyamide (nylon) loaded with carbon fibers that offers exceptional strength and hardness.

Features: Carbonmide has an extreme rigidity and great resistance. Lightweighted it offers a very good weight/force ratio. It also has electrical conductivity properties.

Because of the orientation process of carbon fibres, the mechanical properties vary according to the three axes.

Examples of application areas: Aerodynamic components, automotive sports and aeronautics.

FLEXIBLE elastomer

Example of application: Sporting equipments, Joints, Flexible pipes. Simulation of thermoplastic elastomer, urethane, silicone and rubber.

Prototypes for functional tests of shape or assembly.

Good resistance to tearing, good state of surface and quality of details.

Advantages: Resistance to repetitive folding and flexions, resistant prototypes to functional tests and production of durable end-use parts without tools.

Can be coloured with black impregnation.

Alumide - PA12 MD

This material is characterized by its high rigidity, good post-treatment possibilities and metallic appearance.

Alumide is a polyamide powder 12 loaded with aluminium particles. With a metallic grey colour, it is often used to simulate the appearance of metal.

It resists high temperatures 130°C.

Parts printed with Alumide have excellent material properties:

- Excellent dimensional accuracy.

- Well balanced ratio of density and rigidity.

- increased thermal conduction and good machining.

- The surfaces of aluminium parts can be refined very easily by grinding, polishing or coating.
